MPSEPANG'S NEW INITIATIVE: EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH KOMBAT

Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang) has taken another step in its efforts to foster integrity values ​​among the younger generation through the launch of the Anti-Corruption Youth Community (KOMBAT). Officially launched on 27 November 2024, this initiative is supported by a new digital system known as MyKOMBAT.

Here is an important summary of this initiative for the knowledge of Sepang residents, especially the youth.

1. What is KOMBAT?

KOMBAT stands for Anti-Corruption Youth Community. It is an initiative of the MPSepang Integrity Unit which aims to provide education on anti-corruption and form integrity values ​​specifically for the youth community in the Sepang district.

This program is carried out in collaboration with the Selangor Youth Mobilizer (PeBS) and other agencies in the Sepang district.

2. Introduction to the MyKOMBAT System

Under the leadership of the President of MPSepang, YBrs. Dr. Ani binti Ahmad D.S.M., the MyKOMBAT system was developed. The main objective of this system is to facilitate the registration process and communication with members online.

Main Functions of the MyKOMBAT System: This system offers various interactive functions for members, including:

Registration: Member registration is done entirely online.

Notification: Announcements about the latest KOMBAT programs.

Education: Integrity and anti-corruption quizzes.

Communication: "Website chat" area to interact with other members.

Recognition: Issuance of digital certificates and determination of "Tier" or recognition of KOMBAT Members.

3. Who is the Target of this Program?

KOMBAT targets young people from various backgrounds in the Sepang district, including:

Secondary school students (aged 15-17 years).

Students of Public/Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTA/IPTS).

Employed youth (aged 18-30 years).

4. Interesting Activities and Programs

KOMBAT members have the opportunity to participate in various activities that build their identity, such as:

Seminars and Team Building activities.
KOMBAT Fitness Program.
Debate and Science Quiz Competition.

5. How to Register?

To register into the MyKOMBAT system, the following information is required:

Full Name, Age, and Telephone No.

Home Address & Tax Assessment No.

School Name, IPTA/IPTS, or Company Name (according to youth category).

This system is managed by the Integrity Unit and Information Technology Unit of MPSepang. Only members who have successfully registered can access this system.

6. Impact on Youth and the Nation

This initiative is not just an ordinary program, but has a big goal to:

Create a generation of leaders who cultivate the value of integrity.

Provide a deep understanding of the 4 main sections under the MACC Act 2009 (Act 694).
Encourage the active involvement of youth in combating corruption for the sake of a developed Malaysia
